Some Benton County customers will lose power tomorrow



According to the Holly Springs Utility Department:

Today's work is complete at the Ashland substation. The station is back online feeding from the new 161kv line. We have one last series of switching to complete. Customers on the north end of Benton County and Northeast Marshall County will experience a brief interruption in power while the Benton County part of that load is moved back to Ashland.
We knew we had challenges in feeding Ashland from Holly Springs but we were able to keep the power on most of the day. We appreciate your patience as we go through this upgrade process. There is still some work to complete at Ashland but none of it should affect any customer.
